The week (and month) wraps up with some warmth and blue skies in Toronto, as the NYMEX continues to drift down a few cents. We’re just at normal temperatures currently in Canada and the US, but both are set to dip this weekend before slowly climbing back up. Regardless, Cooling Degree Days are starting to pick up.
Production in the US continues to hold at about 105 Bcf/d. Again, this is strong, but depending on the summer’s cooling demand, may not be strong enough to meet all aspects of demand this year. With LNG continuing to demand more and more gas, the pressure remains on producers to keep increasing output. Time will tell if they do.
