Welcome back. Our neighbors down South have a Federal holiday today, Memorial Day, so there wasn’t much activity in the NYMEX. Of that little action though, futures did sell off somewhat, the front month coming down about nine cents.

Otherwise, it has been a quiet day in the gas world. Average temperatures in the lower 48 dipped below normal, raising some questions of lingering heating demand up North, but the warmth be likely be back by the end of the week. Especially in the East, cooling demand for gas will be light going into June. Quite a mild start to the cooling season, and it will be interesting to see how the NYMEX reacts tomorrow.
