A mild afternoon in Toronto and a quiet day for natural gas, while oil moved higher. The NYMEX 12-month strip was unchanged, Dawn slipped $0.01 CAD/GJ, and WTI rose $3.39 USD/b to $91.46 USD/b. The focus in gas continues to be maintenance risk rather than outright price action. In Western Canada, the market is watching upcoming Westcoast Station 2 maintenance through April, which could create tighter conditions around B.C. flows and LNG Canada feed gas. In Ontario, attention is also starting to shift toward April NEXUS maintenance, which could tighten regional flows into Dawn as the market moves through the late winter to spring transition. (JM)
