Happy storage day! The EIA reported an injection of +55 Bcf for last week, putting the lower 48’s inventory at 2,953 Bcf, lower than last years total at this time by a margin of 5.6% but still 6.2% greater than the 5-year average. Storage says slightly ahead of average, but not by an astounding gap.
The NYMEX was up this morning by around 10 cents, but slowly sold back off to hover around todays open. The August front month has currently settled at$ 3.409 US/MMBtu. Looking at temperatures ahead, temperatures in the US and Eastern Canada are still quite warm. No report for tomorrow due to the US holiday. Enjoy the summer weather (RS, AA)
