Natural Gas Market Updates

April 15, 2026 – Market Update

Today was a quiet one for energy markets. The 12-month NYMEX strip was unchanged on the day, with Dawn also holding flat. WTI slipped just $0.18 to $91.10 USD/bbl, as the market saw little in the way of fresh headlines around the U.S.-Iran situation. Cash markets continue to look soft. Union DDI traded around $3.11 over the weekend, ticked up modestly to $3.15 on Tuesday, and has since moved back down to $3.11 today. The market continues to reflect fairly weak shoulder-season fundamentals, and at this point it looks like the widow maker never really materialized this year. (JM)
