Enbridge reported that as of February 1, 2026, Dawn and Tecumseh storage inventory together are sitting at 119 Bcf, meaning that over the past two weeks we had a net change of -69 Bcf (or -76 PJs), easily the largest withdrawal since we withdrew -87 PJs in late January 2019. Currently, Dawn is now only 41.7% full, 16% less than the one year average. As a reminder, the Utility signaled that due to a high demand for Dawn storage withdrawals, they may have to schedule fewer interruptible withdrawal requests in an effort to hold onto the gas, mainly to ensure we have enough to heat houses through the winter. It’s unknown how long this will be the case. (Something to keep in the back of one’s mind when planning for the spring.)
