Natural gas rose a bit today, with the 12-month Dawn average higher by $0.02 CAD/GJ and the 12-month NYMEX strip up $0.01 USD/MMBtu. WTI rose $6.85 to approximately $106.70 USD/bbl due to stalled talks in the US-Iran conflict that continues to block oil supply.
There is an ongoing three-day maintenance on the Algonquin pipeline which runs into the Maritimes from New Jersey, causing a significant decrease in Ontario imports collapsing -751 to 706 Mmcf/d and a surge in Iroquois exports. The overall supply route should soon stabilize with the return of Sunset Creek capacity and Algonquin capacity being expected to follow suit. (HX)
