Finally, a boring Friday to finish off a wild week. The NYMEX did move around, but by the end of the day the settle was only up a couple cents from yesterday, basically unchanged. The May Front Month Contract settled at $3.54 US/mm. The equities markets had some breathing room too, S&P 500 and Nasdaq were up 1.75% and 2.14% today respectively.
Not much has changed on the weather front. On Monday, the expectation was for some chilly spring weather this week, which did occur. Since then, the update is that next week will see another dip, although not as cold as this week, and that temperatures will likely climb to above normal at the end of the month. Otherwise, heating demand is starting to taper off, and injections are increasing.
