Market Fundamentals Although prices rallied early on in the day, the prompt month Oct23 contract ultimately settled down by 1%. Today’s U.S. EIA Lower-48 storage came in at an injection of 32 Bcf, slightly larger than the estimated average. This injection is 19 Bcf less than the average, and works to continue narrowing the existing surplus as we head in the shoulder month of September tomorrow.
