Happy Wednesday everyone. The lack of any new headlines meant that natural gas continued to trade at similar levels to the previous two days. The prompt month October contract settled up US$0.062/MMBtu from yesterday at $7.779. Similar to yesterday, all contracts past March 2023 continued to settle farther down. Hurricane season has officially begun, and although Fiona will miss the U.S., there are five storms currently developing. A lot has changed in natural gas from the early 2000s, and as opposed to old times when hurricanes would decrease production, they now have the opposite effect and will decrease demand that comes from liquefied natural gas facilities for export. ~CL
